But wait, this might actually be a good thing. I know Hollywood is pretty gosh darned determined to destroy everything we hold dear (I'm looking at you Shia) but don't lose hope for this one yet. None other then Ridley Scott (director of the original Alien movies) is set to direct the prequel. No word if Sigourney Weaver is on board or how the prequel plans on expanding the story but all that I can say is that I actually have hope for this movie.

New Alien Prequel

Oh, Lord, this has promise simply because Ridley Scott is involved. He has yet to disappoint. I almost hope Weaver, as magnificent as she is, won't be involved. She has vowed she is done with the series, and that was the right choice. My hope is that they can cast some worthy, young look-alike that can hold a candle to Weaver in the acting department. Wow, am I excited!

ReplyDeleteI was thinking about who would play Ripley as well. I couldn't think of anyone who could pull of Weavers look and general bad assness. I cant wait to see who they cast.
